Receiving a donation? Look no further!

Legacy Global gives to many different charitable causes, and in order to do so, there is some documentation we may require.

With the many different vehicles of charitable giving that Legacy offers, many donations are made all over the world.
In order for a donation to be compliant with the IRS Regulations, the team at Legacy Global works very hard to ensure that donations are qualified charitable distributions. This is verified in many different ways by our team, including specific document collection.
To receive grants, from either a Donor Advised Fund or a Fiscal Sponsorship, the document collection is imperative for both recipient individuals and qualified charities.

For qualified charities

Our team may ask to collect your IRS Letter of Determination. This is a formal document issued by the IRS declaring the tax benefits that a charitable organization receives. To issue a donation, we must have the documentation declaring that you are a US Public 501(c)3 Charitable organization.

For individual recipients

Our team may ask to collect a W-9 form for recipients in the United States or a W-8BEN form for recipients internationally. To ensure that the donations made to recipients are qualified, more reporting may be required.
